Alexander the Great was able to conquer the known world in his early thirties. In 334 BC he invaded the Persian Empire and in 10 years defeated the Persian King Darius III stretching the Empire of Greece from the Adriatic Sea to the Indus River.
Here are two reasons why he was able to achieve this feat in such a short period of time. First, he inherited a great army from his father King Philip II. Second, he utilized the massive road systems built for easy movement and commerce within the Persian Empire.
Here is what we can learn from Alexander’s conquest. The way you manage your inheritance can determine your destiny, and utilizing and perfecting systems that are already in place can propel you into your destiny in a shorter period of time. Our inheritance is in Christ – Ephesians 1:11. We must manage it well.
